PHOTO:  Kenn BarronJeanne Horst has a dual appoinment as an assistant professor in the Department of Graduate Psychology and as an Assessment Specialist in the Center for Assessment & Research Studies.  She completed both her Masters' and PhD degrees at James Madison University. Her masters' thesis involved an exploration of students' social motivation. Her dissertation was entitled “A Mixture-Modeling Approach to Exploring Test-Taking Motivation in Large-Scale Low-Stakes Contexts”.  Jeanne is interested in a variety of motivation-related concepts, and how to develop valid measures and assessments of motivation.
